PSD Underwater Crime Scene Investigator
This course trains divers to operate in waters of limited visibility using structured search methods to locate and retrieve submerged evidence down to a maximum depth of 100 fsw (30 msw).It emphasizes procedural integrity and chain of custody required for potential evidence presentation in courtroom proceedings.
Program Specifications
- Maximum Depth:100 fsw (30 msw) (Note: No dives may be conducted to depths greater than the diver’s previous certification level)
- Minimum Age:18 years old
- Prerequisites:Must be qualified as an IANTD Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
- Required Materials: IANTD Public Safety Diver Student Kit
