PSD ROV Operator
This program trains and qualifies Public Safety Diving (PSD) team members to deploy, control, and operate Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) during public safety, search, and evidence recovery operations.
Program Specifications
- In-Water / Depth Requirements: Governed by operational parameters and equipment ratings
- Professional Prerequisites: Must be an active police officer, firefighter, paramilitary member, or member of an official public safety or professional rescue team
- Required Materials: IANTD Public Safety Diver ROV Student Kit
- Equipment Requirements: Operational ROV unit equipped with a surface control and monitoring system
