PSD Lifting Specialist
This program trains public safety personnel to operate effectively in low-visibility aquatic environments, using systematic search and recovery methods to retrieve submerged evidence down to a maximum depth of 100 fsw (30 msw) while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols required for judicial proceedings.
Program Specifications
- Maximum Depth: 100 fsw (30 msw) (Note: No dives may be conducted to depths greater than the diver’s previous certification level)
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Professional Prerequisites: Must be an active police officer, firefighter, paramilitary member, or member of an official public safety or professional rescue team
- Certification Prerequisites: Must hold an IANTD Public Safety Diver certification or equivalent
- Required Materials: IANTD Public Safety Diver Student Kit
