Kirby Morgan M-48 MOD-1 Instructor

This course is designed to train qualified instructors in the necessary procedures, knowledge and skills to safely dive with a full face mask and the Kirby-Morgan M-48 Mod 1 Mask.

Course Limits and Requirements

  • Maximum Depth: Equal to the diver’s previous certification level
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old
  • Prerequisites: Must be qualified in the following:
    • IANTD Open Water Instructor (or equivalent)
    • IANTD Kirby-Morgan M-48 MOD-1 Diver
    • Note: Sidemount Instructor is required to take this course on sidemount configuration
    • Proof of a minimum of 150 logged dives which at least 50 were using the Kirby-Morgan M-48 MOD-1 Dives
  • Material Requirements: Manufacturer Full Face Manual
  • Equipment Requirements:
    • Kirby-Morgan M-48 MOD-1
    • Backup Mask
    • Cylinder configuration: Single cylinder with dual outlet valve, double cylinders with dual outlet manifold, OR Sidemount configuration
