In-Water Recompression Supervisor

This program is designed to train competent divers in the safer use and technology of basic of in- water recompression (IWR) at depths up to 30 fsw (9.1 msw), using pure Oxygen as a breathing gas.

How deep can you dive with this program?

• No dives may be conducted to depths greater than 30 fsw (9.1 msw).

What do you need to enroll in this program?

• Must be qualified as:
  • IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver or higher or equivalent.
  • IANTD Diver First Aid or equivalent.
  • IANTD Rescue Diver or equivalent.
  • IANTD Oxygen Administrator or equivalent.
  • NOTE: May be taken in conjunction with the IWR Diver class.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
• Proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives.

What are the training material requirements?

• IANTD IWR Student Kit.
• All students must have the IANTD Waterproof Recompression tables on all Open Water Dives or scenarios.

What are the equipment requirements?

• Comply with all Equipment Requirements as specified in the general CHANGE Courses
• Cylinder requirements:
  
  • Single cylinder, OR
    • All single bottom mix cylinders must be equipped with H or Y valves.
  • Double cylinders with dual outlet manifold, OR
  • Sidemount Configuration
• The use of DIN systems are mandatory.
• Full face mask, recompression rig, direct monitoring, surface O2 administration equipment, and in-water rehydration/cylinder.
