Deep Water - Rescue and Recovery Support Diver

This Program is designed to provide advanced training in technical open water diving skills to the experienced, certified, responsible technical divers who wish to conduct deep water rescue or recovery dives. Expose technical divers to ethical responsibilities that present themselves during rescue or recovery dives, in an emergency, or when acting as a volunteer when requested by a public authority.

How deep can you dive with this program?
  • No dives may be conducted to depths greater than the qualification of the student.
What do you need to enroll in this program? 
  • Must be qualified as:
    • IANTD Trimix Diver or higher or equivalent
    • IANTD Rescue Diver or higher or equivalent
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must provide proof of a minimum of 150 logged technical dives and 150 technical diving hours.
What are the training material requirements?
  • IANTD Deep Water Rescue and Recovery Support Diver Student Kit.
What are the equipment requirements?
  • Comply with all Equipment Requirements as specified in the general IANTD Trimix Diver Courses overview.
  • All Equipment Requirements listed in the IANTD Trimix Diver Course.
  • Cylinder requirements:
    • Double cylinders with dual outlet manifold,
      • OR
    • Sidemount configuration
  • Special equipment:
    • Body bag
    • Trauma Shears
    • Hands free camera (if site conditions allow)
    • Wetnote
