Cavern Diver Instructor

This Program is designed to develop qualified IANTD Cavern Diver Instructors.

How deep can you dive with this program?
  • No dives may be conducted to depths greater than the diver's previous certification level.
What do you need to enroll in this program?
  • Must be qualified as:
    • IANTD EANx Instructor in Active Teaching Status or equivalent. 
    • IANTD Cave Diver or equivalent.
    • IANTD CPR or equivalent.
    • IANTD First Aid or equivalent.
    • IANTD Oxygen Administrator or equivalent.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age. 
  • Must proof a minimum of 150 logged dives which 50 were cavern dives.
  • Must proof a minimum of 25 Recreational Diver Certifications Levels.
What are the equipment requirements?
  • All Equipment Requirements listed in the IANTD Cave Diver Program are mandatory.
  • Candidates will use appropriate equipment for diving into an overhead environment.

  • Confined Water Sessions
  • Open Water Sessions

International Association of Nitrox Divers, IAND, was formed in 1985 in response to the needs of the diving public. Up until that time, mixed gas diving and the use of decompression gasses was limited, in a formal way, to military and commercial divers.
