Advanced Cave or Mine - Survey Diver

This program is designed to provide advanced training in cave or mine diving skills to the experienced, certified, responsible cave or mine divers who wishes to conduct dives while surveying an underwater cave or mine. Expose cave or mine divers to conservation concerns and ethical responsibilities presented during collection of survey data.

How deep can you dive with this program?
  • No dives may be conducted to depths greater than the qualification of the student
What do you need to enroll in this program?
  • Certifications requirements:
    • For Advanced Cave - Survey Diver:
      • IANTD Technical Cave Diver or higher or equivalent
    • For Advanced Mine - Survey Diver:
      • IANTD Technical Mine Diver or higher or equivalent.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Dive experience:
    • For Technical Cave:
      • Must provide proof of a minimum of 25 logged Cave Dives.
    • For Technical Mine:
      • Must provide proof of a minimum of 25 logged Mine Dives.
What are the training material requirements?
  • No training materials required. 
What are the equipment requirements?
  • Comply with all Equipment Requirements as specified in the general Cave Diver Courses overview.
  • All equipment Requirements as specified in the general Cave Diver Course.
  • Suitable survey slate and equipment needed to record data.
  • Survey compass, measuring tape, and survey station markers.
