This Program is designed to familiarize the experienced, certified technical cave or mine diver with the techniques; equipment and mindset required for sidemount diving activities in an underwater, overhead environment. Enable technical cave or mine divers to proficiently assemble and use sidemount diving equipment. Teach cave or mine divers the proper techniques to safely conduct cave diving activities that warrant the use of sidemount diving equipment (i.e. small passages, logistics and restrictions). Expose technical cave or mine divers to the conservation concerns and ethical responsibilities that present themselves during sidemount diving activities in underwater caves or mines.
No dives may be conducted to depths greater than the qualification of the student.
One of IANTD differentials in the formation of any confident and safe IANTD Diver is our training philosophy known as:
A relaxed confident diver is a safe diver who will enjoy exploring inner-space and pursue diving adventures for a lifetime.

International Association of Nitrox Divers, IAND, was formed in 1985 in response to the needs of the diving public. Up until that time, mixed gas diving and the use of decompression gasses was limited, in a formal way, to military and commercial divers.
