Tek Lite Essentials Diver

This course is designed to refine foundational technical diving skills, focusing on buoyancy control, trim, propulsion techniques, gear configuration, and team situational awareness without engaging in actual decompression diving.

Program Specifications

  • Maximum Depth: Equal to the diver’s previous certification level, up to a maximum depth of 132 fsw (40 msw)
  • Minimum Age: 15 years old (with parent/guardian authorization) or 18 years old
  • Prerequisites:
    • Must be qualified as an IANTD Open Water Diver or equivalent
    • Must provide proof of a minimum of 25 logged dives
  • Required Materials: IANTD Tek Lite Essentials Student Kit
  • Equipment Requirements:
    • Double cylinders with isolator manifold, OR Sidemount configuration
    • Wing and backplate system
    • Primary regulator with long hose (5 ft to 7 ft)
    • Primary reel or spool with guideline
    • Must comply with all equipment requirements specified in the general Tek Lite Diver Courses
