RCCR Cavern or Limited Mine Diver

This course develops rebreather cavern or limited mine diving skills within the limits of natural light penetration. It emphasizes diver self-responsibility, gas management, and risk mitigation strategies tailored to overhead rebreather operations.

Program Specifications

  • Maximum Depth: Equal to the diver’s previous certification level
  • Prerequisites:
    • Must be qualified as an IANTD Recreational CCR Diver (or equivalent or higher)
    • Proof of a minimum of 20 logged dives and 25 hours of underwater dive time on the rebreather unit to be used
  • Required Materials: IANTD Cavern Diver Student Kit
  • Equipment Requirements:
    • Must fulfill all Equipment Requirements specified in the IANTD Rebreather Diver Courses – General Standards
    • Minimum 30 cu ft (4 L) cylinder for bailout
    • Primary reel and two (2) dive lights
