Adv. Cave or Mine – Sidemount Diver
Course Overview
This course is designed to familiarize experienced, certified technical cave or mine divers with the techniques, equipment, and mindset required for sidemount diving activities in an underwater, overhead environment.
The course enables divers to proficiently assemble and use sidemount equipment. It teaches the proper techniques to safely conduct cave or mine diving activities that warrant the use of a sidemount configuration (e.g., small passages, specific logistics, and restrictions). Furthermore, it exposes divers to the conservation concerns and ethical responsibilities associated with sidemount diving in underwater caves or mines.
